Harper Adams University to run IOSH Managing Safely course

Harper Adams has been approved as an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) training provider and is set to run its first course, Managing Safely, next month

Course manager Emma Osborne, Health and Safety Officer at Harper Adams University, said: “The four day Managing Safely course is designed for anyone with responsibility for health and safety, such as managers and supervisors. 

“It aims to provide them with the knowledge and understanding of health and safety to enable them to manage key issues within their teams and organisations. 

“Topics covered during the course include: assessing risks; gaining knowledge of the law and how the legal system works relating to health and safety; and investigating incidents in the workplace.

“Participants will complete two assessments which are designed to evaluate their understanding of basic health and safety.

“Those who successfully pass these assessments will receive a nationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely certificate.”

The total cost of the course is £475 per person.
